  • Wear sturdy shoes, long pants, a hat, sun protection, etc.
  • Bring a rain jacket, water bottle, a mess kit with utensils, and a pūpū to share if you'd like.

The day will begin at 2 pm at the Puʻuwaʻawaʻa hiker check-in station and will end at 5 pm. Optional pūpū potluck lunch to follow.

2:00   Meet at Puʻuwaʻawaʻa Hiker Check-in: Introduction to Place & one another

2:30   Head to Kīpuka ʻOwēʻowē

2:45  Work orientation 

3:00  Hana!! 

5:00  Pau Hana ~ load up trucks

We’ll learn about Place at the hiker check-in station. We’ll then head to Kīpuka ʻOwēʻowēwhere we'll be outplanting natives and hand-weeding invasives.

**Terrain is uneven with overgrown vegetation. Weather can be hot and sunny or cold and rainy. The last bathroom stop will be at the hiker check-in**

Work is EXHILARATING and REWARDING!!!
