Ku`ulei and Ahiena Kanahele's petition argues that the Land Use Commission (LUC) needs to review industrial observatory uses of the conservation district. UH/ BLNR wrote that they are doing just fine managing Mauna Kea and the LUC shouldn't step in.

To celebrate the Grand Opening of Panda Express in downtown Hilo, 50% of the proceeds on October 24 will be donated to the Hawaii Island Veterans organization to help fund our mission: developing a combined veterans center, and senior living community for our islands' 20,000+ active, reserve, and retired veterans as well as other eligible seniors.
